Wabi-Sabi Pendant | Earth-Tone Resin | CL852200-VL

The Wabi-Sabi Pendant is a simple, rounded pendant with a resin shade in an earth tone, brown or gray, on an iron fitting. It is 30 cm (11.8″) wide and 46 cm (18.1″) high. It hangs over a dining table, or in a bedroom, living room or study.

The resin

The shade is resin, in an earthy brown or a soft gray. The form is simple and rounded, and the earth tone does the work. The fitting is iron.

Why warm light matters

Earth tones depend on warm light. At 2700K the brown reads as warm clay and the gray as soft stone. Cooler light makes both look cold and dull. On this piece, warm white is part of the design.

Sizing and placement

At 30 cm (11.8″) wide and 46 cm (18.1″) high, it suits a small round table, a breakfast nook, a bedside or a study desk. Over a longer table or an island, hang two or three in a row. Over a table, hang the bottom 75 to 90 cm (30 to 35″) above the surface.

Suspension

The pendant hangs on a cord. The cord length is made longer or shorter to order to suit your ceiling.

The light

The shade gives a gentle, diffused glow. It works as a warm accent over a table or in a quiet corner. Over a kitchen island or a desk, keep task lighting alongside it.

Lamping and installation

Warm white at 2700K. The pendant weighs about 3.5 kg (7.7 lb).

Care

Switch off and let it cool. Dust with a soft dry cloth. For marks, use a cloth barely damp with water, then dry it. Keep solvents and abrasive cleaners away from the resin.

Made to order

Every pendant is made to order. The cord length can be set to your ceiling, and dimming is available on request.
