The Three-Light Cognac Glass Pendant brings three cognac-tinted glass shades together in one fixture, on a solid brass frame. It comes in four arrangements, A to D, shown in the photographs. It is made for a dining table, a kitchen island, a bar or a reception counter.

The glass

Each shade is tinted a deep cognac, a brown-amber close to aged spirits. Grouped as three, the shades give more presence than a single pendant while keeping the fixture light in the room. The colour sits well beside walnut, leather, dark green and brass.

The brass

The frame and fittings are solid brass. They add a warm gold line between the tinted shades.

Why warm light matters

Coloured glass takes on the temperature of the lamps inside it. At 2700K the cognac glows a warm amber; cooler light makes it look muddy and brown. On this piece, warm white is part of the design.

Sizing and placement

The fixture lights an area of about 8 to 15 m² (86 to 161 sq ft). It suits a dining table for four to six, a kitchen island or a bar. Hang the bottom of the lowest shade 75 to 90 cm (30 to 35″) above the surface.

Suspension

The shades hang on cords, and the drop is made longer or shorter to order to suit your ceiling.

The light

The tinted glass gives off a low amber glow, and more light falls down through the open bases onto the surface below. It is a warm, evening light. Over a kitchen island, keep task lighting alongside it.

Lamping and installation

Three E27 lamps. Warm white LED at 2700K. Bulbs are not included. The fixture weighs about 4 to 6 kg (8.8 to 13.2 lb). It is hardwired; have your electrician fix it securely to the ceiling.

Care

Switch off and let the lamps cool. Wipe the glass with a damp microfiber cloth and a little mild glass cleaner applied to the cloth, never sprayed onto the fixture. Dust the brass with a soft dry cloth; do not use metal polish.

Made to order

Every piece is made to order. The drop can be set to your ceiling height, and dimming is available on request.
