The Freeform Resin Pendant is a shade cast in resin into an irregular, organic form, part light and part sculpture. It comes in white or gray, in four shapes, A, B, C and D. It hangs on its own, or as a cluster of three to five shapes on a single round ceiling base. It suits a living room, a bedroom, a restaurant, a café or a bar.

The resin

Each shade is cast by hand into a freeform shape, so its curves and folds vary slightly from one piece to the next. The white is clean and soft; the gray is a quiet, mineral tone. Mixing the four shapes in one cluster gives an arrangement that looks different from every side.

Sizing and placement

A single shade suits a bedside, a reading corner or a bar counter. A cluster of three suits a small dining table or a kitchen island; a cluster of five suits a larger table or the middle of a living room. Over a table, hang the lowest shade 75 to 90 cm (30 to 35″) above the surface.

Suspension

Each shade hangs on a 100 cm (39.4″) cord. The base and cord are black as standard, and other colours can be made on request. The cord can be made longer or shorter to order.

The light

The irregular form sends light out unevenly, so it plays light and shadow across the walls and ceiling as well as down onto the surface below. It is an ambient, sculptural light. Over a kitchen island or desk, keep task lighting alongside it.

Lamping and installation

One E27 lamp per shade (E26 in North America). Warm white LED at 2700K. Bulbs are not included. It is hardwired by your electrician.

Care

Switch off and let the lamps cool. Dust with a soft dry cloth or brush. A lightly damp cloth can be used on the outside; keep solvents and abrasive cleaners away from the resin.

Made to order

Every piece is made to order. The cord length and base colour can be set to your project, and dimming is available on request.
