The Matera Monolith | Cast Brass or Black Steel | CLMAT-M

The Matera Monolith is a sculptural pendant with a deeply textured, cratered surface, 37 cm (14.6") wide and 53 cm (20.9") high. It is hand-cast in brass for the gold and silver finishes, and made in stainless steel for the black finish. No two pieces are identical.

How it lights a room

The lamp grazes the textured panels inside and out, casting organic shadows that soften hard modern architecture. Over a kitchen island or in a hallway it reads as a piece of sculpture as much as a light.

Sizing and placement

Use one in a hallway or entrance, or two to three in a row over a kitchen island. Hang the base 75 to 90 cm (30 to 35") above a counter. The drop can be extended at order.

Lamping and installation

One E27 lamp (E26 for North America), warm white at 2700K. The pendant weighs about 6 to 9 kg (13 to 20 lb).

Made to order

Drop length can be specified before production. A sloped ceiling adapter and dimming are available on request. Trade clients can request drawings and project quantities through our trade program.
