The Open-Frame Brass Lantern Pendant is a four-light lantern with an open, architectural frame. It is 32 cm (12.6″) in diameter and 46 cm (18.1″) high. It comes in solid brass, or in stainless steel with a black finish. It suits an entrance hall, a dining room or a kitchen.

The frame

The lantern is a simple cage of straight bars around four candle-style lights. The brass version is solid brass with a warm gold tone. The black version is stainless steel with a black finish, for a more graphic line. The frame is kept open on every side, so nothing sits between the lights and the room.

Sizing and placement

At 32 cm (12.6″) wide and 46 cm (18.1″) high, the lantern suits an entrance hall, a landing or a small dining room. Over a kitchen island, hang two or three in a row. Over a table, hang the bottom 75 to 90 cm (30 to 35″) above the surface. In a hall, allow at least 2.1 m (7 ft) of clearance below it.

Suspension

The drop is made longer or shorter to order to suit your ceiling, including higher ceilings in halls and stairwells.

The light

With an open frame, the four candle lights shine freely in every direction. The lantern gives a bright, clear ambient light and casts the lines of the frame softly onto the ceiling and walls. Over a kitchen worktop, keep task lighting alongside it.

Lamping and installation

Four candle-style LED lamps, up to 6 W each. Warm white at 2700K. Bulbs are not included. The lantern weighs about 3 kg (6.6 lb). It is hardwired to the ceiling.

Care

Switch off and let the lamps cool. Dust the frame with a soft dry cloth. On the brass, do not use metal polish or abrasive cleaners.

Made to order

Every lantern is made to order. The drop can be set to your ceiling, and dimming is available on request.
