Brass & Glass Pendant | CLH854W

The Brass and Glass Pendant is a clear glass shade held in a slim metal frame, made to show the bulb inside. It comes in two finishes: brass in a bronze tone, or stainless steel in black. It suits a kitchen island, a dining table or an entrance hall.

The glass

The shade is clear glass, so the bulb is part of the look. A filament bulb shows its glowing lines through the glass. The shade gives the piece a light, open feel that sits easily in a kitchen or a hall.

The frame

The bronze-tone version is brass. The black version is stainless steel. The frame is kept to clean lines, so the glass and the bulb stay the focus.

Why warm light matters

With clear glass, the bulb is on view. At 2700K a filament bulb glows amber and the glass catches that warmth. Cooler light looks harsh through clear glass. On this piece, warm white is part of the design.

Sizing and placement

Over a kitchen island, hang two or three in a row. Over a dining table, hang one or a pair along the length. Hang the bottom 75 to 90 cm (30 to 35″) above the surface. In a hall, allow at least 2.1 m (7 ft) of clearance below it.

Suspension

The drop is made longer or shorter to order to suit your ceiling, including high ceilings.

The light

The light passes straight through the clear glass, so the pendant gives a bright, open ambient light and the bulb becomes a point of light in the room. Choose a softer bulb if it hangs at eye level. Over a kitchen worktop, keep task lighting alongside it.

Lamping and installation

Warm white LED at 2700K. The bulb is not included. For indoor use.

Care

Switch off and let the lamp cool. Wipe the glass with a damp microfiber cloth and a little mild glass cleaner applied to the cloth, never sprayed onto the fixture. Dust the metal with a soft dry cloth; do not use metal polish.

Made to order

Every pendant is made to order. The drop can be set to your ceiling, and dimming is available on request.
