The Solstice Chandelier | Mirrored Glass & Brass | CLSOL091BR

The Solstice is a large drum chandelier: a ring of vertical antique mirrored glass fins set at irregular heights in an aged brass frame, hung on three chains. Each fin carries a different depth of smoky grey, bronze or amber patina, so the piece changes character as you move around it.

The glass

Every fin is genuine antique mirrored glass, aged to produce the clouding and foxing collectors look for in old mirrors. The patina is the result of a real ageing process, not a printed effect, so no two fins match.

How it lights a room

The mirrored fins hide the lamps and throw light up and down out of the open drum, while the glass reflects the room around it. It is a statement ambient light rather than a task light.

Sizing and placement

At 91.4 cm (36") across and only 22.9 cm (9") deep, it suits a round dining table of about 140 to 180 cm (55 to 71") or a stairwell landing, and works under standard 2.4 m (8 ft) ceilings. The chain drop is adjustable at installation.

Lamping

Four E26 lamps (E27 outside North America), 40W maximum each. Warm white at 2700K suits the bronze and amber tones.

Made to order

Chain length, finish and dimming can be specified before production. A sloped ceiling adapter is available on request.
