The Bellatrix Chandelier | Green Glass | CLBLXGCH

The Bellatrix is a candelabra chandelier with green glass, its candle-style lights carried on a frame of solid brass or black stainless steel. It comes in two diameters, 90 cm (35.4″) and 120 cm (47.2″), and hangs on a 50 cm (19.7″) chain. It suits a dining room, a living room, an entrance hall or a stairwell.

The glass

The glass is green, and it colours both the fixture and the light it gives. It sits well with dark wood, stone, leather and warm neutral walls. Against brass it reads rich and warm; against black it reads darker and more graphic.

The frame

Choose solid brass or black stainless steel when you order. Brass reads warm and classic; black stainless steel reads graphic and contemporary.

Why warm light matters

Coloured glass takes on the temperature of the lamps behind it. At 2700K the green glows warm and deep, like light through a wine bottle; cooler light makes it look cold and blue. On this piece, warm white is part of the design.

Sizing and placement

The 90 cm (35.4″) suits a dining table of about 150 to 200 cm (59 to 79″) or a living room. The 120 cm (47.2″) suits a table of 200 cm (79″) and above, a large dining room, a two-storey entrance or a stairwell. Over a table, hang the lowest point 75 to 90 cm (30 to 35″) above the surface. In a walkway, keep at least 2.1 m (7 ft) clear beneath it.

Suspension

The chandelier comes with a 50 cm (19.7″) chain as standard. The chain is made longer to order for higher ceilings and stairwells, or shorter for lower rooms, and a sloped ceiling adapter is available.

The light

The candle-style lights spread their glow outward and upward, so the Bellatrix gives a soft, ambient light rather than a direct downlight. Over a kitchen island or a desk, keep task lighting alongside it.

Lamping and installation

E14 candle lamps (E12 for North America). Warm white at 2700K keeps the candle effect soft. The 90 cm weighs about 7 to 10 kg (15 to 22 lb) and the 120 cm about 10 to 13 kg (22 to 29 lb). The fixture is hardwired; have your electrician fix it to a joist or reinforced blocking.

Care

Switch off and let the lamps cool first. Dust the glass and the frame with a soft dry cloth. On brass, use no metal polish; on the black finish, avoid abrasive cleaners.

Made to order

Every piece is made to order. Chain length, finish and canopy can be specified before production, and dimming is available on request. Trade clients can request drawings and project quantities through our trade program.
