Silver Crystal Chandelier | CLSC0951S

The Silver Crystal Chandelier is a ring of tightly set crystal beads on a slim frame with a silver finish, lit by integrated LED and hung on fine wires so it appears to float. It comes in six sizes: 60 cm (23.6″) wide and 12 cm (4.7″) high; 80 cm (31.5″) wide and 16 cm (6.3″) high; 100 cm (39.4″) wide and 18 cm (7.1″) high; 120 cm (47.2″) wide and 20 cm (7.9″) high; 150 cm (59.1″) wide and 20 cm (7.9″) high; and 180 cm (70.9″) wide and 22 cm (8.7″) high. It is made for foyers, double-height entries, living rooms and large dining rooms.

The crystal

The ring is built from K9 crystal beads set close together, so the light runs around it in one continuous shimmer. The crystal breaks the light into sparkle and keeps glare down. The frame is iron with a silver finish. The ceiling rose comes in silver or gold, chosen when you order.

Why warm light matters

Crystal takes on the temperature of the light inside it. At 2700K the beads glow a soft champagne and the sparkle feels warm; cooler light turns it bright and icy. A cool white version is also offered for rooms lit that way. On this piece, warm white is part of the design.

Sizing and placement

The 60 cm (23.6″) and 80 cm (31.5″) suit compact entries, bedrooms and round tables of about 110 to 150 cm (43 to 59″). The 100 cm (39.4″) and 120 cm (47.2″) suit standard foyers, living rooms and dining tables of about 180 to 240 cm (71 to 94″). The 150 cm (59.1″) and 180 cm (70.9″) suit grand entries, double-height spaces and hotel-scale rooms. Over a table, hang the bottom of the chandelier 75 to 90 cm (30 to 35″) above the surface. Because the ring is shallow, it keeps sightlines open across the room.

Suspension

The ring hangs on 1.5 m (4.9 ft) of fine suspension wire, adjusted at installation. The wire is made longer or shorter to order for higher ceilings and double-height spaces.

The light

The integrated LED runs around the ring and shines out through the crystal, giving an even, radial light with a soft sparkle. Output runs from about 2,000 lumens on the 60 cm to about 9,000 lumens on the 180 cm. Over a kitchen island or a desk, keep task lighting alongside it.

Lamping and installation

Integrated LED, with no bulbs to change: 9 light sources on the 60 cm, 12 on the 80 cm, 16 on the 100 cm, 18 on the 120 cm, 25 on the 150 cm and 30 on the 180 cm. Warm white 2700K, or cool white. Approximate weights: 60 cm, 12 to 15 kg (26 to 33 lb); 80 cm, 18 to 24 kg (40 to 53 lb); 100 cm, 26 to 34 kg (57 to 75 lb); 120 cm, 35 to 45 kg (77 to 99 lb); 150 cm, 48 to 60 kg (106 to 132 lb); 180 cm, 62 to 78 kg (137 to 172 lb). The fixture is hardwired; have your electrician fix it to a joist or reinforced blocking and confirm the ceiling can carry the larger sizes.

Care

Switch off first. Dust with a soft dry cloth or a feather duster. For a deeper clean, wipe the beads with a damp microfibre cloth and a little mild glass cleaner applied to the cloth, never sprayed onto the fixture. Keep abrasive products off the silver finish.
