Pleated Fabric & Aged Brass Chandelier | CLFAB50

A low, drum-shaped chandelier with a wide shade of finely pleated fabric, each fold radiating from the centre to the rim, framed in narrow ribbed bands of aged brass. It hangs close to the ceiling on an adjustable rod and gives a warm, diffused glow rather than a direct beam.

The shade

The fabric is physically pleated and finished by hand, not printed or embossed. Light passes through the folds unevenly, which gives the soft, lived-in quality that glass cannot.

Sizing and placement

At 50 cm (20") across and only 12 cm (5") deep, it suits a round dining table of about 90 to 120 cm (35 to 47"), a bedroom or a hotel lounge, and works under low ceilings where a deeper chandelier would crowd the room. The rod height can be set to the room at installation.

Lamping

Two E27 lamps (E26 for North America), 9W maximum each. Warm white LED lamps at 2700K suit the fabric and keep the shade cool.

Sloped ceilings

Every piece is made to order, so a sloped ceiling adapter can be supplied. Mention the angle when you order.

Made to order

Fabric colour, metal finish and rod length can be specified before production.
