Plaster Wave Pendant | Brass Chain | CLPLAST05

The Plaster Wave Pendant is a sculptural pendant of real plaster, cast by hand in a flowing wave form and hung on brass rods and chain. It measures 73 cm (28.7″) wide and 43.5 cm (17.1″) high. It hangs over a dining table or console, in an entry, or down a stairwell.

The plaster

The body is real plaster, cast by hand in small batches and left with a soft, matte white surface. Because each piece is cast by hand, the line of the wave and the texture of the surface vary slightly from one to the next.

Sizing and placement

At 73 cm (28.7″) wide, it suits a dining table of about 120 to 160 cm (47 to 63″), a console or sideboard, an entry hall, or a stairwell where the wave is seen from below and from the side. Over a table, hang the bottom of the pendant 75 to 90 cm (30 to 35″) above the surface.

Suspension

The pendant hangs from brass rods and chain. The drop is set to your ceiling height, and the rods and chain are made longer or shorter to order.

The light

The light washes over the curves of the plaster and falls softly below, giving a gentle, ambient light rather than a bright downlight. Over a kitchen island or a desk, keep task lighting alongside it.

Lamping and installation

E14 lamps. Warm white LED at 2700K. Bulbs are not included. The pendant weighs about 5 to 8 kg (11 to 18 lb). The fixture is hardwired and should be installed by your electrician.

Care

Switch off and let the lamps cool. Dust with a soft, dry brush or cloth. Keep water and cleaning products off the plaster: it is porous and marks easily.

Made to order

Every Plaster Wave Pendant is made to order and cast by hand. The drop can be set to your ceiling height, and dimming is available on request.
