Patri Chandelier | Swirled White Glass | CL-SGAB-81

The Patri Chandelier in swirled white glass is a large, sculptural piece: two tiers of curved hand-poured glass panels wrap a wide antique brass frame, each panel swirled with milky white marbling that reads almost like captured smoke. Hung on three converging brass chains, it reads broad and grounded, closer to a lantern than a classic chandelier.

The glass

Each panel is marbled while the glass is molten, so the swirls are never repeated. Panels sit in individual brass clips, catching light separately rather than reading as one fused shade. The brass is left unlacquered and deepens with age.

Why warm light matters

White swirled glass takes on the colour of the lamp inside. Warm white at 2700K gives a soft, luminous glow; cool light makes the glass look grey and clinical.

Sizing and placement

At 80 cm (31.5") across, it suits a dining table of about 120 to 160 cm (47 to 63"), a stairwell landing or a double-height entrance. The standard 50 cm (19.7") chain can be extended at order for tall ceilings and staircases.

Lamping

Four E27 lamps (E26 for North America), 6W maximum each. Globe-shaped LED lamps suit the open panels best.

Installation

At 20 kg (44 lb), the fixture needs a ceiling box and fixing rated for the load. Fit the glass panels after the frame is hung.

Made to order

Glass colour and metal finish can be changed before production; the Patri is also made in amber glass. A sloped ceiling adapter and dimming are available on request.
