Patinated Brass Arch Chandelier | CLFISH520S

The Patinated Brass Arch Chandelier is a set of hand-formed arches in patinated brass that radiate from a central ring, hung on clear suspension cables so the piece seems to float. It comes with 9 or 12 lights, stands 20.5 cm (8.1″) high and hangs on a 100 cm (39.4″) cable. It suits a dining room, a loft living space or a gallery.

The brass

Each arch is formed by hand in brass and given a patina, so the tone and surface vary slightly from arch to arch and from one piece to the next.

Why warm light matters

Brass takes on the colour of the light it reflects. At 2700K it glows a warm gold; cooler light turns it flat and grey. On this piece, warm white is part of the design.

Sizing and placement

At 20.5 cm (8.1″) high, it is a slim, open piece that keeps sightlines clear across the room. The 12-light gives more light for a larger table or room. Over a table, hang the bottom of the chandelier 75 to 90 cm (30 to 35″) above the surface.

Suspension

The chandelier hangs on 100 cm (39.4″) of clear cable, adjusted at installation and made longer or shorter to order.

The light

The design is open and the lights shine downward, giving a warm downlight onto the table with a soft glow along the brass. In a larger room, pair it with softer ambient light elsewhere.

Lamping and installation

Nine or twelve LED light sources, warm white 2700K. The chandelier weighs about 8 to 12 kg (18 to 26 lb). The fixture is hardwired; have your electrician fix it to a joist or reinforced blocking.

Care

Switch off first. Dust with a soft dry cloth. Do not use metal polish or abrasive cleaners: they strip the patina and can mark the brass.

Made to order

Every piece is made to order and formed by hand. The cable length can be set to your ceiling height, and dimming is available on request.
