Oval Tiered Shell Chandelier | CLJUPOFS

The Oval Tiered Shell Chandelier is a long, racetrack-shaped piece: vertical panels of natural shell arranged in four staggered tiers around a brass frame and hung on fine cables, so the whole composition seems to float. The shell filters light into a soft, pearlescent glow.

Natural shell

Every panel is genuine shell, so colour, translucency and markings vary from panel to panel and from fixture to fixture. The brass is left unlacquered and understated, letting the shell carry the piece.

Why an oval

A round chandelier leaves the ends of a long table in shadow. The elongated form spreads light along the whole surface, which suits long dining tables, kitchen islands and hospitality counters.

Choosing a size

The 100 cm (39.4") suits tables of about 180 to 220 cm (71 to 87"); the 120 cm (47.2") suits tables of about 220 to 260 cm (87 to 102"). Both are 35 cm (13.8") wide and deep, on a 100 cm (39.4") cable that can be changed at order.

Lamping

G9 lamps. Warm white at 2700K brings out the pearl tones of the shell.

Installation

This is a heavy fixture, 23 to 32 kg (51 to 71 lb) depending on size. Use a ceiling box and fixing rated for the load.

Made to order

Cable length, metal finish and canopy can be adapted before production. A sloped ceiling adapter and dimming are available on request.
