The Floral Fabric Pendant in blue is a sculptural pendant of two folded panels held in a curved brushed brass frame, 75 cm (29.5") wide, with a 45 cm (17.7") shade and 120 cm (47.2") overall height. The upper panel is a printed botanical fabric in the blue colourway; beneath it, a white panel lights from within, so the pattern carries the piece by day and the glow takes over at night.

The form

The brass follows the curve of both panels, so from the side the pendant reads as one continuous folded shape rather than a shade on a stem. The fabric is a printed textile, and the contrast between its pattern and the plain lit panel is the point of the design: expressive, but without clutter.

The light

The light source is an integrated LED of 900 to 1,200 lumens, warm white at 2700K as standard. It shines through the white panel, which spreads it softly and hides the source, so there is no glare looking up from a chair or across a table. The LED is built in, so there are no bulbs to buy or replace.

Sizing and placement

At 75 cm wide it suits a dining table of about 150 to 200 cm (59 to 79"), a reading corner or an entryway where one artistic piece sets the tone. Over a table, hang the lower edge 75 to 90 cm (30 to 35") above the surface. At the standard 120 cm overall height that places it well under ceilings of about 2.7 to 2.9 m (9 to 9.5 ft); the rod is made shorter or longer to order for lower or higher ceilings.

Installation

Hardwired to a ceiling box behind a round ceiling plate of 12 cm (4.7") diameter. The pendant weighs about 5 to 8 kg (11 to 18 lb); have your electrician confirm the ceiling fixing before hanging.

Care

Dust the brass and the fabric with a dry microfibre cloth or a soft brush. Keep water and cleaning products off the fabric panel. For dry indoor rooms only.

Made to order

Rod length and colour temperature can be specified before production, and dimming is available on request. The same pendant is made in white. Trade clients can request drawings and project quantities through our trade program.
