Candle Chandelier | Black Stainless Steel | CLMCC

The Candle Chandelier is a linear fixture of LED candles rising from an ivory base, held in a matte black stainless steel frame. It comes in five lengths: 75 cm (29.5″), 95 cm (37.4″), 120 cm (47.2″), 150 cm (59.1″) and 180 cm (70.9″), each 100 cm (39″) high as standard. It suits a dining table, a kitchen island or a restaurant.

The frame

The frame is stainless steel in a matte black finish, drawn in clean straight lines. The candles stand in a row on an ivory base, which gives a soft, pale line against the black. It looks like a row of candles on a long table, lifted to the ceiling.

Why warm light matters

This piece is meant to read as candlelight. At 2700K the candles give a warm, golden glow close to a real flame. Cooler light breaks the effect. On this piece, warm white is part of the design.

Sizing and placement

The 75 cm (29.5″) length suits a table of about 120 to 150 cm (47 to 59″). The 95 cm (37.4″) suits a table of about 150 to 180 cm (59 to 71″). The 120 cm (47.2″) suits a table of about 180 to 220 cm (71 to 87″). The 150 cm (59.1″) suits a table of about 220 to 260 cm (87 to 102″). The 180 cm (70.9″) suits a table of about 260 to 300 cm (102 to 118″) or a long island. Hang the bottom 75 to 90 cm (30 to 35″) above the surface.

Suspension

The standard height is 100 cm (39″), which over a dining table suits ceilings of about 2.5 to 2.7 m (8 to 9 ft). The height is made longer or shorter to order.

The light

The candles give a warm, low glow along the length of the table. It is a light for dining and for evening, not for close work. Over a kitchen island, keep task lighting alongside it.

Lamping and installation

LED candles, warm white at 2700K. It weighs about 8 kg (18 lb) in the 75 cm length and up to about 18 kg (40 lb) in the 180 cm. The fixture is hardwired; have your electrician fix it to a joist or reinforced blocking. For indoor use only.

Care

Switch off first. Dust the frame and candles with a soft dry cloth. Keep abrasive cleaners and polish off the matte finish and the ivory base.
