Candelabra Ring Chandelier | Gold | CLGHTSD97G

The Gold Candelabra Ring Chandelier is a solid brass ring in an antique brass finish, carrying a circle of tall candle-style lights. It comes in four models: 12, 18, 26 or 34 candles, from a compact ring for a small table to a large one for a grand room. It suits a dining table, an entrance hall or a loft living space.

The brass

The ring and the candle sleeves are metal, with the ring in solid brass finished in antique brass. The finish is darker and more muted than polished brass, with a lived-in warmth that suits both old houses and industrial rooms.

Why warm light matters

A candle ring is meant to read as candlelight. At 2700K the bulbs glow warm and gold, and the antique brass picks up the same tone. Cooler light breaks the effect. On this piece, warm white is part of the design.

Sizing and placement

The 12-candle ring suits a smaller round or square table. The 18-candle suits a mid-size dining table. The 26- and 34-candle rings suit a long table, a large living room, a double-height hall or a loft. Over a table, hang the bottom 75 to 90 cm (30 to 35″) above the surface.

Suspension

The ring hangs on a rod whose length is adjustable. It is made longer or shorter to order for your ceiling.

The light

The bare candle bulbs shine outward and upward, so the ring lights the ceiling and the room around it as well as the table. It is an ambient light with the character of candles. Over a kitchen island, keep task lighting alongside it.

Lamping and installation

E14 candle bulbs, one per candle: 12, 18, 26 or 34 by model. Use warm white LED at 2700K. Bulbs are not included. It weighs between about 11 kg (24 lb) and 45 kg (99 lb) depending on the size. The fixture is hardwired; have your electrician fix it to a joist or reinforced blocking. For indoor use only.

Care

Switch off and let the bulbs cool. Dust with a soft dry cloth. Do not use metal polish, which wears away the antique finish.

Made to order

Every piece is made to order. The rod length is set to your ceiling height, and dimming is available on request.

The ring is also shown in black.
