Bellatrix Long Chandelier | Amber Curved Glass | CLND019

The Bellatrix Long is a large statement chandelier: curved panels of textured amber glass layered around a brass frame in a wide, balanced circle. The overlapping panels give the piece depth from every angle and a sculptural Art Deco character.

The glass

The amber glass carries its colour through the body, so the tone deepens where panels overlap and gives the fixture a warm, honeyed glow. The texture breaks up the light so the panels glow rather than glare.

Why warm light matters

Amber glass glows richest under warm light. At 2700K it gives an evening, firelight quality; cool light turns it brown.

Choosing a size

The 137 cm (54") suits a dining table of about 200 to 240 cm (79 to 94"), a large entrance hall or a hotel lounge. The 164 cm (64.5") is for long tables, double-height rooms and hospitality spaces. At this scale, allow at least 75 cm (30") between the chandelier and the tabletop.

Lamping

The 137 cm takes five E12 lamps; the 164 cm takes twelve E12 lamps (E14 outside North America).

Installation

This is a heavy fixture, about 31 kg (69 lb) for the smaller size and 88 kg (195 lb) for the larger. It needs a structural ceiling fixing specified by your electrician or contractor. The standard chain is 50 cm (19.7") and can be extended at order.

Made to order

Glass colour, chain length and metal finish can be specified before production. The Bellatrix Long is made in clear, green and amber glass. It belongs to the Bellatrix line, alongside the Bellatrix pendant, flush mount and wall light. A sloped ceiling adapter and dimming are available on request.
