Resin Flush Mount Ceiling Light | CLSS001M

The Resin Flush Mount Ceiling Light is a compact, round ceiling light with a textured resin frame around a frosted acrylic diffuser. It measures 36 cm (14.2″) across and 11 cm (4.3″) high, and comes in a gold or a black finish. It keeps close to the ceiling, so it suits an entryway, bedroom, dressing area or hallway where headroom matters.

The resin

The frame is resin with an organic, tactile surface texture, finished in warm gold or in black. The texture catches light across its surface, so the frame has depth even when the lamp is off. The diffuser is frosted acrylic, which hides the light source and gives an even glow.

Why warm light matters

A frosted diffuser shows the colour of the light behind it. At 2700K it glows a soft, creamy white that sits well with the gold or black frame; cooler light makes it look bluish and flat. On this piece, warm white is part of the design.

Sizing and placement

At 36 cm (14.2″) wide, it suits an entryway, a hallway, a dressing area or a bedroom of about 3 × 3.5 m (10 × 11.5 ft). With an 11 cm (4.3″) profile, it works on ceilings from about 2.3 m (7.5 ft). Down a long hallway, use two or three, evenly spaced.

Mounting

The fixture fixes flush to the ceiling and keeps the headroom clear.

The light

The diffuser spreads an even, ambient glow across the room rather than a direct downlight. In a kitchen or at a dressing table, add task lighting alongside it.

Lamping and installation

Warm white at 2700K. The fixture weighs about 2 kg (4.4 lb). It is hardwired; have it installed by an electrician.

Care

Switch off first. Dust the frame and diffuser with a soft dry cloth or a soft brush to reach into the texture. Do not use solvents or abrasive cleaners.

Made to order

Every piece is made to order in the finish you choose. Dimming is available on request.
