Ratera Relief | Cast Copper | CLRAT030

The Ratera Relief is a 30 cm (11.8") square panel of solid cast copper with a deep, cratered surface, lit from behind so a halo of light grazes the wall around it. It was designed as a companion to the Matera chandeliers and works on its own as a wall piece.

The casting

The copper is sand-cast, not stamped, so the crater pattern is different on every panel and the edges are left as they come from the mould.

Where it belongs

It suits a hallway, a stair wall, a dining room or a room that already has a Matera piece in it. Hung as a pair or a row it reads as relief sculpture rather than lighting.

Light and installation

Concealed light source, warm white at 2700K, which brings out the copper rather than greying it. Hardwired wall mount.

Made to order

Finish can be specified before production, and dimming is available on request. Trade clients can request drawings and project quantities through our trade program.
