The Ramo is a large sculptural flush mount: hand-shaped branches radiate from a polished central ring and spread 119 cm (47") across the ceiling, while the whole piece sits only 10 cm (4") deep. It gives a room the presence of a chandelier where there is no height for one.

How it lights a room

The light comes from the glass diffuser at the centre, which hides three lamps and throws an even pool of light downward. The branches are the sculpture around it. In a large living or dining room, treat the Ramo as the centrepiece and layer lamps or wall lights at the edges of the room.

Choosing the finish

Lacquered brass reads warm and golden against white or cream ceilings and suits walnut, travertine and warm neutrals. Plated nickel is cooler and more reflective, and sits well with grey stone, marble and chrome hardware.

Sizing and placement

At 119 cm wide it needs space to read as a branch pattern rather than a cluster: centre it in a room of roughly 4 m by 4 m (13 ft by 13 ft) or larger. Because it adds only 10 cm below the ceiling, it works under standard 2.4 m (8 ft) ceilings, in bedrooms with low ceilings and above dining tables where a pendant would block the view.

Lamping

Three E26 lamps sit behind the diffuser, so their shape is not visible. Choose output for the room: warm white at 2700K keeps the brass golden and the nickel soft.

Installation

The width means the fixture must be centred carefully and fixed securely. Have your electrician confirm the ceiling box and fixing can carry the weight across the full span.
