Metal & Walnut Wall Sconce | CLDFR02S1

This wall sconce holds two hand-hammered blackened iron cups on a slim brass rod against a walnut backplate, 50.5 cm (19.9") high, 19.7 cm (7.8") wide, standing 12 to 14 cm (4.7 to 5.5") off the wall. A small pull chain hangs within reach, so the light is switched at the fixture.

The hammering

Each cup is worked by hand, so the facets catch the light differently on every piece. The walnut grain and the brass spine vary too.

Where it belongs

The pull chain makes it the right answer where there is no wired wall switch: a bedside, a reading chair, a guest room or a corridor. A pair either side of a bed gives reading light without lighting the whole room.

Lamping and installation

E14 lamps (E12 for North America), warm white at 2700K. It weighs about 2.8 to 4.2 kg (6 to 9 lb). Hardwired wall mount, indoor use.
