Brass & Glass Capsule Wall Sconce | CLDW56

This wall sconce pins a hand-worked glass capsule to a pebble-shaped brass backplate, 25 cm (9.8") wide, 32 cm (12.6") high and 10 cm (3.9") deep. The glass is left with its bubbles and ripples, so lit it looks like water frozen around the lamp.

The glass

Each capsule is worked by hand, so the bubbles, thickness and surface differ on every piece. Two small brass fasteners hold it, left visible as part of the design.

Where it belongs

The soft outline of the backplate suits a bedroom, a hallway or a living room where a rectangular plate would look severe. It works singly or in pairs.

Lamping and installation

E14 lamps (E12 for North America), warm white at 2700K. Hardwired wall mount.
