Arnaud Silver Sputnik Flush Mount | CLVGY085S

The Arnaud Silver Sputnik is an eight-light sputnik flush mount of solid brass arms radiating from a compact central hub, in a polished silver finish, with the arms tilted into an asymmetrical fan. It measures 61 cm (24″) across and 14 cm (5.5″) high. It suits a dining room, a hallway or an entry ceiling, and works well in rooms with lower ceilings.

The frame

Arms and hub are solid brass, finished in polished silver. The eight arms are set at different angles in an asymmetrical fan, which gives the fixture movement when seen from below and from the side.

Sizing and placement

At 61 cm (24″) across, it suits a dining table of about 120 to 160 cm (47 to 63″), a bedroom, or a room of around 3.5 × 4 m (12 × 13 ft). In a hallway or entry, center it in the space. At only 14 cm (5.5″) deep, it works under ceilings from about 2.3 m (7.5 ft).

Mounting

The hub fixes directly to the ceiling, and the whole fixture sits within 14 cm (5.5″) of it.

The light

The eight lamps spread across the fixture and light the room in every direction, the ceiling as well as the floor. It gives a bright, general light. Over a kitchen island or a desk, keep task lighting alongside it.

Lamping and installation

Eight E27 lamps. Warm white LED at 2700K. Bulbs are not included. The fixture weighs about 4 to 6 kg (9 to 13 lb) and is hardwired.

Care

Switch off and let the lamps cool. Dust with a soft dry cloth. Do not use metal polish or abrasive cleaners, which can dull or scratch the polished finish.
