Alabaster Column Wall Lamp | IP65 | CLAW025

This wall lamp is a single block of carved alabaster, raw-faceted on every visible face and mounted flush to the wall. There is no shade and no visible hardware: the block itself is the light source, and the veining maps across the wall as it glows. It comes 30 cm (11.8") or 45 cm (17.7") high, 15 cm (5.9") wide and 10 to 12 cm (3.9 to 4.7") deep.

Rated IP65

Dust-tight and protected against water jets from any direction, so it can be installed inside a shower enclosure, on a covered porch, in a pool house or a steam room, as well as in the dry rooms where alabaster usually lives.

Choosing a size

The 30 cm suits a vanity, a powder room or a run down a hallway; the 45 cm suits a bedroom wall, a fireplace or an entrance where it can be read as sculpture.

The alabaster

Each block is quarried stone, so the veining, colour and translucency are different on every piece, and the faceting is cut by hand.

Installation

It weighs about 6 kg (13 lb) at 30 cm and 9 kg (20 lb) at 45 cm, so fix into a stud or use reinforced anchors. Warm white at 2700K. Hardwired.

Made to order
